• A comprehensive Operation and Maintenance Manual should be supplied to the Client or Client’s Representative on handover.
• Each manual must be specific to the installation and bound in a loose-leaf, hardwearing binder, unless specified otherwise.
• Each manual must contain:
• Specification of contract equipment including serial numbers and manufacturers’ name & address,
• Specification of pool with dimensions and capacity and construction details,
• Day to day running instructions in a concise and understandable format,
• Daily weekly monthly and periodic equipment maintenance and servicing requirements,
• Equipment servicing requirements,
• Emergency plant procedures,
• Manufacturers’ guides and maintenance manuals,
• Water treatment guide with testing procedures,
• Notice of chemicals to be used together with a site-specific dose rate table,
• Guarantees and warranties,
• Laminated instructions and diagrams for display on plant room walls are suggested,
• As built drawings,
• Spares requirement list,
• Safety file with:
• Risk Assessments for any potential hazard,
• Safety Data Sheets for all chemicals likely to be used,
• Safety procedures and precautions.
• Copies of all test reports and certificates.
• The owner/operator needs to provide a Water Quality Risk Management Plan ​​​​​​​
