Operation and Maintenance Manual
- A comprehensive Operation and Maintenance Manual should be supplied to the Client or Client’s Representative on handover.
- Each manual must be specific to the installation and bound in a loose-leaf, hardwearing binder, unless specified otherwise.
- Each manual must contain:
- Specification of contract equipment including serial numbers and manufacturers’ name & address,
- Specification of pool with dimensions and capacity and construction details,
- Day to day running instructions in a concise and understandable format,
- Daily weekly monthly and periodic equipment maintenance and servicing requirements,
- Equipment servicing requirements,
- Emergency plant procedures,
- Manufacturers’ guides and maintenance manuals,
- Water treatment guide with testing procedures,
- Notice of chemicals to be used together with a site-specific dose rate table,
- Guarantees and warranties,
- Laminated instructions and diagrams for display on plant room walls are suggested,
- As built drawings,
- Spares requirement list,
- Safety file with:
- Risk Assessments for any potential hazard,
- Safety Data Sheets for all chemicals likely to be used,
- Safety procedures and precautions.
- Copies of all test reports and certificates.
- The owner/operator needs to provide a Water Quality Risk Management Plan
